Sivas Surface Survey

A number of surveys have been conducted in this province from the 1920s to 1990s, when Tuba Ökse found 568 sites. In 2007 Atilla Engin of Cumhuriyet University at Sivas began a project to explore the 60% of the province not covered by Ökse's surveys. The aim is to establish a site inventory and record the monuments.

Forty sites were located this year, mainly in the north of the province. Noteworthy as being at risk was site SYA 17-36 (Tekhöyük or Öksüztepe), a large site on which modern construction is occurring.

Sivas Yüzey Araştırması

1920’lerden, Tuba Ökse’nin 568 yerleşim tespit ettiği 1990’lara kadar, Sivas ilinde çeşitli yüzey araştırmaları gerçekleştirilmiştir. 2007’de Sivas Cumhuriyet Üniversitesi’nden Atilla Engin, Tuba Ökse tarafından incelenmemiş olan ve ilin %60’lık bölümünü kapsayan bir proje başlatmıştır. Hedef bir sit envanteri hazırlanması ve anıtların belgelenmesidir.

Bu yıl, çoğu ilin kuzeyinde yer alan kırk sit tespit edilmiştir. Yeni inşaatlar nedeniyle risk altında olan SYA 17-36 (Tekhöyük veya Öksüztepe) dikkate değerdir.
